Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at the age of six. She would later become the Romanian gymnastics coach. She first competed at the national junior championships in Romania in 1969, she was 13th. Then in the year 1970, she won. The first time she competed in an international meet that was an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she was named the all-around Junior Champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning four gold medals as well as one silver. She was the first female to ever successfully complete the backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in entertainment during her teenage years in which she was a part of an ice skating duo along with their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol's first job was in entertainment in her teens. As a young girl she was an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows with theatrical shows.
